Due to the improvements in modern day medicine average life expectancy continues to increase.  However, the 'knock on' effect of this is that the 'baby boomers' are increasingly relying on their property as an additional source to fund their retirement.  You may wish to make your retirement more comfortable or simply visit family overseas.  Whatever the reason you will need money to fund for this.
